HDR... continues
|
|
I passed by it so often I never really did take notice. Until that day. So glad I did .
A shout-out to all that had visited / commented ~ You are the coolest !! . <3
Note: No, I did not descend into the drain la . I used wide angle lens .
Update @ 19th.July 2006:
Not sure if this can be called a tutorial but here goes:
Step 1: Gotta create an HDR image.
Refer to this link which I’m currently using http://www.earthboundlight.com/phototips/photoshop-cs2-hdr-32bit.html to create HDR images. It’s a bit long but necessary nonetheless. Fahamkan betul2 ya.
Step 2: Editings:
Once you’ve got the HDR image, start the editings. Here are the major areas which I edit.
1) Tones and highlights
2) Levels.
3) Curves. I’m not really that good at this actually so the tweak is usually very negligeble. But I did it anyway most times as I needed the practise.
4) Saturations.
5) Selective colours.
Tips:
a) Whats important here is the cross processings. For example after adjusting the tones, then the levels, you can always go back to tones adjustments and enhance the image further. Keep going back and forth. That’s my naïve definition of cross processing la .
b) Just play around with the lever / bar for each of the edit area. Try doing from one extreme to the other so that you can see the benefits of an HDR image. The range is amazing.
c) When doing the ‘Saturations’ and ‘Selective colours’ be sure to try the adjustments for red together with yellow. Also green with yellow. Try them out and you’ll see what I mean.
Ok, now I know it gets frustrating when the editings for 1 to 5 are not mentioned in detail. But due to good reasons. Different image needs different editings. Hence tip b) is important. Plus, kang berjela2 la pulak tutorials ni .
Step 3: Finishing touches:
These involve the following, apply whenever you feel necessary:
1) Croppings
2) Leveling
3) Framing
4) Size reduction
5) Others like converting to b&w or sepia or what have you.
6) Tagging
Step 4: Be very patient:
Getting the image just right the first time is not easy. Keep at it till you get what you’re after.
Tips:
a) Must must must do the first step correctly. Just follow the instructions diligently and you’ll not get it wrong, InsyaAllah.
b) Even before you start, you must already have in your mind how the image will look like, at least some rough idea how it will, and target towards achieving that. Otherwise you will spend way too long during the editing process than necessary.
Hope the above helps. Please do not hesitate to ask if you need further clarifications. [Aiyaa, closing sentence ni cam dalam surat formal la pulak ].
