Napie ni semua shoot pakai 70-300mm. Only the ostrich was shot with my Canon G6 using macro mode. Alhamdulliah la burung tu tak patuk when I shoved my camera in front of it's face.. hehe... .
Ehhhh... bukan, saya bukan otai ke aper ke. Just a guy who enjoy photography, too much sometimes .

Bro tau tak kenapa rajin? Sebab each time pegi ader je benda baru yg di discover . Plus going there again gives me the opportunity to betul kan shot yg ambik sebelum tu. Worry gak the 2nd time pegi ari tu, fikir apa la nak shoot. Tapi balik je dah dpt shoot nak dekat 200 shots.. haha.. .

Thanks Boney . Berapa lama tunggu? Ader la lebih kurang half hour. Masa tu memang tgh take a rest after round2 park tu. Sambil2 relax tunggu la burung2 tu kalau2 ader yg nak take flight . No 9 tu actually burung tu tgh nak landing .

Hehehe... . Eh Amir jgn la cam tu. InsyaAllah you can also get such images. Keep at it, InsyaAllah boleh. Honestly, no.11 tu was cropped and edited to focus on the 'swallowing' . Plus the bird was not like gobbling up that fish at great speed. It was almost like it was taking its own sweet time. I suppose that's because it was a bird park so naturally there was an abundance of food and there's no necessity to squabble over a fish . So there was time for me to prepare and shoot.

i really like the vignette effects to concentrate the viewer's eye to the centre of the frame seriously excellent pictures of the birds in various majestic poses. how do you get the black backgrounds? Is it from using large apertures on a telephoto?
Hi mynn. Glad you like the photos and the vignetting that I applied. Still learning to add that effect sufficiently and not overdo it . It was my 3rd time at the park so I thought I try capturing them in various actions, whenever possible la. Here's the settings for the black background I copy/paste from the individual photos' properties:

And of course I edited the photos as well to further darkened the background and brightened up the subjects .
no wonder you weren't too hesitant about going to the bird park again, bro. there really is a lot to shoot there. and you can always tell yourself that you can get that picture you missed the last time. can't really wait to see the shots from the 400d from last weekend. personal favorite here has got to be the close-up of the ostrich. if you didn't mention it, i would've thought that shot came from the 400d. the details are just amazing!

Hehe... now you know... 1st time shoot byk benda buat tak betul. That and I think I should do better and differently. Tu yg tak kisah gi sana again. And yes, park tu besar so memang there's lots to shoot . The 400D shots will follow suit. Now I'm in between sorting out and editing Bird Park shots and the Taman Rimba Ampang shots. Alternating between them supaya I tak rasa boring.. hehe . Yg ostrich tu pulak sebenarnya seram gak nak ambik dekat2 sebab maklum la kang dia patuk mau kopak camera I tu.. hehe.. . Tapi lepas I borak2 ngan dia dan mintak izin dia dok diam je. Yes, I mean duduk, not standing. So I pun shoved the pointy end of the lense celah pagar on macro mode and shoot .
